The following positions are available:
 
  • Children’s Ministry Director – Resumes accepted until June 15, 2019
The Children’s Ministry Director is responsible for the development and implementation of the vision, strategy and tactical elements for all programs, activities and educational aspects related to the Chil-dren’s Ministry of Andice Baptist Church. Specifically, the Children’s Ministry Director is responsible for nursery through 4th grade, Sunday School, Children’s Church, Easter, VBS, Fall Festival and summer activities.
 
The Children’s Ministry Director leads a Christian children’s ministry to the children of Andice Baptist Church and the surrounding areas to include, Andice, Florence, Liberty Hill, Leander, Cedar Park and Georgetown area that fosters faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and disciples them to one day be active in youth, and adult ministry from having a personal relationship with Christ.
Reports to:
Senior Pastor
Oversight:
Children’s Ministries for Nursery, Preschool, Kindergarten through 4th grade.
Ministry Focus:
Specifically, the Children’s Ministry Director is responsible for nursery through 4th grade, Sunday School, Children’s Church, Easter, VBS, AWANA, and Fall Festival. Coordinate Wednesday night activities for summer.
Work Status:
Part Time (Average 20 hours per week, up to 30 for special events)
Pay Range:
$15,000 – $18,000 per year depending upon experience
Required Qualifications:
Church leadership as Children’s Director or Assistant to Children’s Director with experience in organizing and implementing programs to disciple and grow children to mature young adults with a continued heart to serve. A person of God according to 1 Timothy 3.
Preferred Qualifications:
2+ years in children’s ministry with experience in AWANA; leadership serving in a church with a similar or larger size to that of Andice Baptist Church.
Specific responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement all children’s programs associated with Andice Baptist Church.
  2. Come alongside and equip parents to fulfill their roles as the primary disciple maker of their children through various programs and resources. (i.e., personal devotions, family worship, training, etc.).
  3. Select, evaluate and implement curriculum that is theologically sound, pedagogically effective, and teacher friendly.
  4. Effectively communicate to volunteers how their contributions support overall ministry objectives.
  5. Recruit, coach, assist, observe, critique, and encourage Andice Baptist Church volunteers.
  6. Communicate philosophy and vision of Andice Baptist Church in person and in writing to parents, visitors, and general congregation.
  7. Responsible for children’s ministry budget to include, Easter, VBS, and Fall Festival.
  8. Ensure the safety and sanitation of the children’s wing to include, the cleaning of toys, and coordination of training volunteers.
  9. Update and enforce policies and procedures in compliance with State & insurance requirements.
  10. Serve as Children’s Ministry Liaison to AWANA families Puggles, Cubbies, Sparks and T&T.
  11. Develop, implement and maintain the Children’s Ministry web page and social media presence.
  12. Coordinate with other staff and ministry leaders to effectively integrate the children’s ministry with other Andice Baptist Church ministries.

  3. Demonstrated gift of administration particularly in the area of organizing volunteers and church-wide children’s ministry events.
  4. Ability to work with a team of volunteers, helping others to serve when needed.
  5. Biblical and theological discernment consistent with the beliefs of Andice Baptist Church and Southern Baptist Convention.
  6. Ability to recruit, organize and delegate to volunteers.
  7. Passion for ministry to children and seeing both parents and children grow in faith.
  8. Growing relationship with Jesus Christ evidenced by action, attitude and behavior.
  9. Reliable, trustworthy, self-starter, and excellent at following through on details.
  10. Proven leadership skills utilizing a cooperative, collaborative team leadership style.
  11. Possessing strong interpersonal skills with the ability to maintain healthy and motivating relationship with supervisors, coworkers, and volunteers.
  12. Become a Member of Andice Baptist Church, fully embracing the values, mission, and purposes of our church.
Attitude:
  1. Exercise tact, courtesy, and diplomacy in dealing with staff, guests, parents and church members.
  2. A Spirit of faithfulness must be exhibited relative to the entire ministry of the church.
  3. All church employees must approach duties as ministry rather than mere employment.
  4. Every employee of the church and related ministries must be willing to serve as an example in areas of conduct, service, faithfulness, and attitude.
  5. Every employee of the church and related ministries must be willing to maintain a spirit of loyalty to Christ, the church, Senior Pastor, Associate Pastor, and Elders.
